The only link that I am aware of to the name Meek is that added in pencil to one of the copies now in the national Library of Scotland.

I have been unable to establish who first suggested that this ‘Meek’ was the usuallyy cited ‘Robert Meek’; in the citations his name is associated with a number of publications that appeared later in the 19th century, and he was Minister in several parishes in England up till around 1860. If he was the author then he wrote it at a very young age.
